Human impact on the planet in its current form is unsustainable. Biodiversity is declining, and global temperatures are rising because the global economy does not account for its negative impacts. Both the IPCC and IPBES have called upon governments and organisations worldwide to take responsibility.

Action is essential.
Organisations are measuring and reducing their footprint but no matter how efficient they are, they will always have an unavoidable negative impact. To reduce this residual impact to zero, they need offsets. Fortunately, markets have formed around biodiversity and carbon sequestration allowing organisations to engage in Nature-based Solutions (NbS).
Nature-based Solutions are described by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) as actions to protect, sustainably manage, and restore natural and modified ecosystems that address societal challenges effectively and adaptively, simultaneously benefiting people and nature.
